Amerigroup Names Finley Chief Compliance Officer
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (February 3, 2009) – Amerigroup Corporation (NYSE:AGP) announced today that John R. Finley, Esq., MPH has been named Chief Compliance Officer, a position charged with responsibility that all Company operations comply with state and federal laws and regulations.

As Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President, Business Ethics, Finley will oversee a team of compliance officers that monitor operations throughout the Company and its affiliated State health plans. Prior to joining Amerigroup , Finley served as Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Compliance Officer at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He previously served as Special Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner for Policy at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and as Regulatory Counsel at FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation, Office of Compliance. Finley received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tulsa and a law degree and master’s of public health from the University of Oklahoma.
