H1N1 Resource Information for Providers
Amerigroup Seasonal Flu Committee is publishing various communications for our providers and reaching out to members via mail and Televox. Additionally, Amerigroup Associates are informed and able to share significant resource details.
Effective September 28, 2009, CPT created new code 90470 for H1N1 immunization and revised code 90663 to read “Influenza virus vaccine, pandemic formulation, H1N1.” Also, effective October 1, 2009 a new ICD-9-CM diagnosis code (488.1) was established for H1N1.
Maryland Medicaid requires providers to use the G9141SE code for H1N1 vaccine administration claims in place of the 90470 code.
Nevada Medicaid requires providers to use the G9141 code for H1N1 vaccine administration claims in place of the 90470 code.
